While the 2023 Laureate projects were selected in Paris a few weeks ago, the first selection step for the 2024 edition is already underway. National pre-selection committees<\/strong> are gathering from May to July to study the 120 applications received this year.<\/strong> Each committee is composed of members of the country or regional platform, as well as local professionals and artists. 1 or 2 members of the circusnext artistic jury also attend to ensure cohesion in the selection process and enrich the programmers’ points of view on the projects studied.
Up to 5 projects are selected by each committee and debated again at the 2nd selection step, the European Selection of Finalists<\/strong>, in November.
N.B: The French committee is an exception, as the number of applications received is higher than for the other committees, so up to 10 projects can be selected.<\/div>
