Aerial hoop, contortion
If the mind forgets, the body remembers everything that passes through it. As the daughter of an anaesthetist, Aurora explores the proximity between the artist's gestures on stage, and those of the surgeon in the operating theatre. Text, contortion and aerial hoop intertwine in a fragmented, intimate, and tragi-comic writing. Sola is a performance-journal, the story of a body discovering itself as a keeper of memories.
A former gymnast, Aurora Dini discovered circus at the end of her studies. She trained at FLIC before joining CNAC, where she specialized in aerial hoop. She co-founded the collective Vous Revoir Rise and co-created Cha Cha Chabelita, which tours internationally. Today, she is assistant director for Brut by La Main de l’Homme and is developing her own project, Sola.
