Through the journey of a woman shaped by social expectations, Tyr Auf! explores the invisible barriers that limit our thinking. By deconstructing the Cyr wheel, she transforms both objects and perspectives: its fragments become costume, boundary, or landscape in a search for freedom. Blending humour and poetry, the performance shifts perspectives and challenges the way we see the world.

Biography

Fenja Barteldres is a German circus artist specialising in Cyr wheel. She trained at the École de cirque de Québec in Canada and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Circus Arts from Codarts Circus Arts in the Netherlands in 2022. After graduating, she collaborated with GOP, URBANATIX, and TeaTime, and created her first solo work, Cyrrealism, in 2024.
