Juggling, sculpture, woodwork
Temporary Sculptures explores the meeting between kinetic sculptures and juggling. It welcomes the spectator into a world of plywood, counterweights and abstraction. A world between performance and installation.
With wooden hands and mannequin heads, the moving sculptures highlight juggling movements by showing them outside the human body, investigating juggling not only as an act performed by humans, but rather as a system of rhythm and relationships between objects in space. A celebration of human ingenuity, and an homage to an era when technology could be understood by everyone.
