In a raw aesthetics universe, ES explores fragmentation, disconnection, and rupture. A body decomposes and reconstructs itself to the rhythm of breaking glass and dripping water. The mirror shatters, and once the pieces are put back together, a question arises: am I still myself, or have I become something else?

Biography

Kimera is guided by the belief that art, like life, is about intersections, experimentation, falling and rising again, curiosity and an eternal thirst for knowledge. Founded in 2014 by Cecilia Alice Manfrini and a group of artists from diverse backgrounds, the aim was to encourage research, study and encounters between art forms. Until 2022, the company mainly organized workshops and creative experiments blending different forms of arts.

Today, the company is made up of Cecilia Alice Manfrini, a circus artist who graduated from the Academy for Circus and Performance art (Acapa) in 2011 and Aivjà Pezza, a circus and movement artist who graduated from the Centre regional des arts du Cirque (Arc en Cirque) in 2022.
