Cirkusfera is the key organization for the development of contemporary circus and street arts in Serbia. It brings together multidisciplinary artists who work for the acknowledgement of these arts across the country. In order to develop contemporary circus, they advocate through performances, lectures and public events, trying to make this art more accessible to the general public and cultural policy makers. Through workshops and projects, they promote circus arts’ education.

Through international cooperation, co-production and exchange of knowledge, skills and experience, Cirkusfera makes a base for professional development and provides the conditions for the recognition of contemporary circus arts in Southeast Europe. Among the various projects carried out, Cirkusfera is one of the co-organisers of Cirkobalkana Festival.
