THE PROJECT / How long does it take for comfort to turn into denial?
The performance follows a passive inhabitant trapped in his own illusions. AMOW, a mythical force, distorts his comfort into a nightmare, pulling him between waking and dreaming. Black wires, light bulbs, and suspended furniture without walls expose the home’s intestines. The scenography becomes a possessed mechanism. Through aerial straps and hair suspension, the artist’s body becomes the threshold between structure and void, interwinding between circus, contemporary puppetry, and rigging design.
BIO / Cie Suspendu was founded by Danny Tavori, a contemporary circus artist and author whose work merges aerial practice, movement research, and rigging design.
Together with Nir Jacob Younessi, sound and code artist, and Oscar de Nova Fuente, rigger and puppeteer, they form the touring team of AMOW. The writing process of AMOW was accompanied by Alice Kudlak and Gina Vila Bruch, while maintaining a collective approach to dramaturgy and stage composition.
