THE PROJECT / ES talks about fragmentation, disconnection and rupture. A performance that finds poetry in edginess, that plays with the limits of disturbance seasoned with a pinch of sarcasm and illusionism. A story is tell as the body decomposes and reconstructs itself to the rhythm of breaking glass and dripping water. A universe with a raw aesthetic where fragments of glass and electric cables, lights and microphones inhabit the stage space together with the human presences as cells of the same living, pulsating organism. The world of ES is a world where the associations between sound and matter are fluid and where metaphors take a concrete form.Â
The mirror breaks, the reflection is imprinted, but once the pieces are put back together a question arises: Is it still me or am I something else?Â
BIO / Kimera is guided by the belief that art, like life, is about intersections, experimentation, falling and rising again, curiosity and an eternal thirst for knowledge.Â
Founded in 2014 by Cecilia Alice Manfrini and a group of artists from different backgrounds, the aim was to encourage research, study and encounters between art. Until 2022, the company mainly organised workshops and creative experiments mixing different forms of arts. Today, the company is made up of Cecilia Alice Manfrini, a circus artist who graduated from the Academy for Circus and Performance art (Acapa) in 2011 and Aivjà Pezza, a circus and movement artist who graduated from the Centre regional des arts du Cirque (Arc en Cirque) in 2022.
