The 12 Finalist projects 2024
Tension, Elis Valente · Spain
Dance, installation · Creation 2025
From the investigation of the materiality of elastic bands, Tension is an exposure of our own vulnerability. Facing a large latex wall, the artist tries to find her way. It reveals an intimate space of discomfort where pleasure is transformed into pain and pain into aggression. But to which extent can we support pain?
IGNIS, Collectif Sismique – Nicolas Fraiseau · France
Pyrotechnics, clown · Creation 2025
IGNIS presents a new aesthetic of fire, no longer the magnificent and spectacular, but the one of the tiny and metaphorical. It’s a solo performance that delves into the contrasts ignited by flames. This ardent aesthetic draws inspiration from the poetics of the archaic, nostalgia, and ritual ceremonies, to rediscover intimacy with the audience.
KRAQUEMENT, Lucia Heege Torres · France
Contortion, trapeze · Creation 2025
Based on different historical references about exile, KRAQUEMENT invite the audience to a sensorial and emotional journey. Through a multidisciplinary performance, using swinging trapeze, live music, paint, in a landscape of kraft paper and coal, two performers share the chaos, as well as the resilience, will and hope.
AVoid, Marina Cherry · Sweden
Contortion · Creation 2024
Born from a fascination with solitude, AVoid explores the mysteries of existence. In an anonymous space, an unusual body oscillates between order and chaos, chasing its fantasies, fears and neuroses. A journey through the mutations of identity, recalling the futility and fragility of the human condition.
MISS SBarbie – a punk collective history about our messy bodies, Morgana Morandi · Italy
Aerial hoop, clown · Creation 2025
Once upon a time dolls allowed little girls to imagine all sorts of worlds. Today there’s Morgana and her 137 Barbies, playmates of imagination and adventure. A universe that brings back to life long-forgotten parts of ourselves. An invitation to reclaim ownership over our bodies.
Là où la nuit n’est pas si loin puisque le jour s’en va déjà, Noa Aubry · France
German wheel · Creation 2025
A sensory experience inspired by the movement of waves, Là où la nuit n’est pas si loin puisque le jour s’en va déjà explores time and the traces it leaves behind. Using the German wheel to create a slow, repetitive, and even transcendent movement, Noa Aubry is inviting the audience to dive into the ocean.
Fragmentos, La Vispera – Vinka Delgado, Diego Hernando · Spain
Marionnette, mât chinois · Creation 2025
For a better understanding of the body, Fragmentos divides it up. The artists develop an intimate, poetic exploration of deformation and disintegration of the body. Through mask, puppetry, and light research, a discussion opens about pain and how it can be alleviated through fragmentation. When suffering becomes too intense, the mind splits.
Le bruit des pierres, Maison Courbe – Nina Harper, Domitille Martin, Ricardo Cabral · France
Acrodance, aerial · Creation 2025
What can we learn from stones? In this hybrid creation, the stones, crystals, and rocks become suspended props and real stage partners. Questioning the relationship between humankind and its environment, the performers evolve and create a choreography between suspension, imbalance, and collapse.
Splash, Jam.Shenanigans – Henri Kangas, Batist Van Baekel · Belgium
Juggling · Creation 2025
Two characters oppressed by the outside world resort to their survival mechanism: juggling. In the heart of this imaginary universe, a swimming pool of 25,000 balls turns juggling into something as natural as walking, the last becoming strangely difficult. From humour to absurdity, it’s an unlikely attempt to reach the juggling paradise.
Saucisson, Taigi Cirkas – Elena Kosovec, Izabele Kuzelyte · Lithuania
Aerial acrobatics · Creation 2025
What happens if the artist loses control? When an object becomes uncontrollable, absurd, or even reveals a sens of absence? Saucisson is about desacralisation of the props and circus body. A multidisciplinary creation that blends visual art, aerial acrobatics, and opera, freely inspired by surrealism and theatre of the absurd.
Traces, Hristina Sormaz · Serbia
Rope · Creation 2025
How can humankind and nature coexist? Traces depicts a shared ecosystem where the performer, space and matter influence each other. Through the use of clay and her body, the artist creates a landscape of images of conflict, destruction, and harmony. It’s a call for awareness of the human impact on our environment.
QUIMERA, Charge maximale de rupture – Pablo Panailillo, Nicolas Palma, Cristobal Espoz · France
Aerial straps · Creation 2025
Three circus performers, bound by straps, explore the expression of their relationship through this shared link. Acrobats and objects merge into one. How can intimacy be revealed within a group? How can an individual be integrated into a whole? QUIMERA invites the audience to a journey from individuality to community.
