
Circus, dance, performance
Two solos coexist in one space: a poetic project of sharing rooted in today’s world. The witness-spectator moves freely, chooses their points of view, builds their own interpretation through their imagination. The bodies reveal a humble circus practice, without the constraint of risk and performance.
Maxime Steffan trained at the Académie Fratellini, ENACR, and CNAC. He is the co-founder of the collective La Horde dans les Pavés. circusnext 2023 Finalist with Broths / et autres paysages, he recently collaborated with Alice Laloy on the creation Le Ring de Katharsy.
Basile Herrmann Philippe works between Europe and Quebec. Trained as an acrobat in Montreal/ Tiohtià:ke, he opened up to performance art thanks to P.James and N.T Weng. He explores the connections between the circus body, sound movement, and visual arts. Recently, he has collaborated with The Circus Dialogues and Rimini Protokoll, and served as an outside eye for Lili Parson. His new show, Milieu, will premiere in 2026.
