V is a seizing and universal autofiction, where the 2,5 meter rope opens up a new field of physical research between risk and freedom. Viivi’s raw and sensitive physical performance is combined with the captivating live music of Mika Pusse. V is a visceral dive into the path of change that takes us to places of excess, darkness, falls and fights.

Biography

Viivi Roiha is a Finnish aerial acrobat who has been based in France since graduating from CNAC in 2012. She has worked with several contemporary circus companies internationally, including Circo Aereo (Finland), the Finnish National Opera, Le GdRA, Galapiat Cirque, Chloé Moglia–Cie Rhizome, and Cirque du Docteur Paradi.

In 2016, Viivi co-created The Forest Project with Sade Kamppila de Metsä — a site-specific performance set in the forests of Finnish Lapland. In 2020, she collaborated with Fragan Gehlker and Anna Tauber to create Dans ton cirque, a rope duet produced by L’Association du Vide. She also performs in PIC (2022), a show created with the Surnaturel Orchestra and Cirque Inextremiste. V is her first solo performance.
