
Aerial
Konstrukt is a story about failure and persistence. The aerial equipment in the show is modified to be fragile, unsafe and unsuitable for use. The characters who are trying to perform on it, fight a battle that is already lost. The superhero image of a circus artist is shattered, and a question is raised: how to deal with failure?
Dora Komenda is a self-taught circus artist and an architect from Split, Croatia. In 2015, she graduates with a master’s degree in architecture and discovers circus, and shortly after starts to produce her own work. She enjoys collaborating with other artists on circus projects, and her portfolio includes performances, shows, and multimedia exhibitions created in partnership with architects, musicians, visual artists, and animators.
Since 2018, she has worked as an artistic director in Cirkus Kolektiv. In 2021, she co-founds the architecture office Kolektiv Tri.
